Enrolling in Preschool, ECFE, or ECSE

Our district provides learning for children of every age! For students birth to age 5 and their families, ISD 199's Early Learning Program offers 3- and 4-year-old preschool, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes, and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classes.

Enrolling in the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program

Established in 2002, ISD 199's Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program is a school-within-a-school located at Salem Hills Elementary. The program provides a full-time accelerated learning environment designed to meet the needs of exceptionally gifted students in grades 2 - 5. The program's mission is to provide a self-contained classroom option for students to enhance the daily academic rigor that will motivate and challenge this group of learners. Click here for Atheneum's application process.

Proof of Address in ISD 199 Boundaries

Families must provide proof that they live at an address inside ISD 199's school boundaries when enrolling new students. Click here for a list of accepted proof-of-address documents to bring when you are enrolling your student.


Intra-District Transfer

The Intra-District Transfer Process for elementary schools provides the opportunity for ISD 199 families to request that their students attend a school other than the one assigned by the district's attendance boundaries. If a student is approved for transfer, transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Click here to read the intra-district transfer process. The deadline for Intra-District Transfer priority is January 30 prior to the start of the school year. 


Non-Resident Enrollment
