The Inver Grove Heights School Board met on Monday, March 10, with the following items on the agenda:


District Highlight

  • Simley High School Activities Director Will Short introduced leaders from winter sports to talk about their seasons. Student athletes talked about the relationships they built on the team and how their season developed them as leaders as much as they talked about their wins and losses.

Consent Agenda

  • Approval of minutes from the regular school board meeting on February 24
  • Approval of cash disbursements
  • Approval of personnel transactions
  • Approval of donations, gifts, and grants
  • Approval of the ISD 917 CORE Program Agreement

Information Items

  • Salem Hills Elementary School and Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program Principal Tina Willette provided a school year update. She talked about the hands-on and service learning students have done so far. The schools’ Student Success Coach Jessica Hill and Inver Grove Heights Schools (ISD 199) Behavior Intervention and Support Coordinator Katherine Snyder talked about the steps they’re taking to keep students in class and focused on learning.
  • ISD 199 Superintendent Dave Bernhardson presented the Draft 2025-2026 School Board and Committee Meetings Schedule.

Action Items

  • Approval of the Resolution Providing that School Board General Elections Held After 2023 Shall be Held in the Even-numbered Years; Establishing a Transition Plan
  • Approval of the Second Reading for Review of Policy 903
