The Simley High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble participated in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Large Group Contest again this year with impressive results! Simley hosted the competition, which included bands from Park High School and Two Rivers High School as well. Simley was the only school to enter two bands into the competition.
Each band had a chance to place their piece for the panel of judges. The judges provided ratings for the band after their first performance, and then one of the judges worked with the band to advise them on any areas in need of improvement.
Both the Simley Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble received Superior ratings, the highest ranking in the scoring system. This was the 29th year in a row that all three judges gave the Simley Wind Ensemble a Superior rating and the second year in a row that the Simley Symphonic Band has earned the Superior rating. Judges also recognized the SImley musicians for their respectfulness, willingness to grow, welcoming energy, and team mindset. Congratulations to the Simley bands

La Banda Sinfónica y el Conjunto de Viento de Simley High School participaron nuevamente en el Concurso de Grupos Grandes de la Liga de Escuelas Secundarias del Estado de Minnesota (MSHSL) este año con resultados impresionantes. Simley fue la anfitriona de la competencia, que también incluyó bandas de Park High School y Two Rivers High School. Simley fue la única escuela que presentó dos bandas a la competencia.
Cada banda tuvo la oportunidad de presentar su pieza ante el panel de jueces. Los jueces calificaron a la banda después de su primera presentación y luego uno de los jueces trabajó con la banda para asesorarlos sobre las áreas que necesitaban mejorar.
