Senior Natalie Walseth has been named Simley High School's Athena Award winner.

The St. Paul Area Athena Awards program was initiated in 1995 to honor outstanding female athletes. Each year, one student-athlete from every St. Paul area public and private high school is selected to receive this award.

Walseth was awarded for her accomplishments in volleyball, basketball and track.

She will be honored as the best senior female athlete from Simley at the St. Paul Athena Award banquet luncheon on Wednesday, April 21.

Walseth will attend the University of South Dakota, where she will play volleyball, in the fall.
