Capital Project Levies
                   

Independent School District 199 does not have an existing Capital Project Levy. Inver Grove Heights is surrounded by communities that have technology levies, many of which have been in place for a number of years. The lack of a technology levy puts Inver Grove students at a disadvantage when applying for school or jobs because technology dollars must compete with other educational needs that must be supported from the General Fund. Currently District 199 uses money from the General Fund to cover the district's technology expenses. The General Fund also finances the district's transportation services, building improvements and daily operational costs. The district receives some technology funding through grants and private partnerships.
