Angel Fund Helps Families Struggling with Illness, Disaster
Posted on 12/01/2017
School CafeteriaWinter can be a difficult time for families. While Free and Reduced-Price Meal benefits have helped many students stay focused in the classroom with a nutritious meal, some families who are also struggling financially may not qualify. This is especially true for those facing life-altering circumstances such as a serious illness or damage from natural disasters. That is why ISD 199 Food Service created an Angel Fund. The fund aims to help feed students whose families are in a time of extreme need.

Any community member can donate directly to the Angel Fund with cash or a check, and district parents closing out their student’s lunch account can donate leftover funds. To donate or for more information, please contact ISD 199 Food Service at 651-306-7822 or email thorsonl@isd199.org.

The district is committed to providing healthy, low-cost meals, so every dollar really does make a difference for a student in need. Thank you for considering the ISD 199 Food Service Angel Fund this season!
