Eligibility Testing


The following assessments are required for a student to be eligible for potential enrollment in the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program:
  • NWEA: Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) - Reading and Math
  • Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)

All assessments must be administered during the current school year and submitted by the application deadline to be considered for potential placement.

 The application deadline for the 2018-2019 school year is April 1st.
(All testing must be completed and submitted by March 23rd)

Official score reports of MAP, CogAT and/or WISC-V student data can be submitted to:

ISD 199 offers select dates for students out-of-district students who are seeking evaluation for the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program. The testing appointments last approximately 2-hours and are held at Salem Hills Elementary/Atheneum (5899 Babcock Trail).

 The next MAP/CogAT testing appointment is

April 24, 2018 @ 1:00 pm
