|FAMILY SWIM NIGHT - The family swim night scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th has been canceled.|
|Pine Bend Email List|
To have your name added to the Pine Bend email list, please contact Sara Pearce at email@example.com or call 651-306-7701.
Please be sure your child/children is/are dressed to be outside in the winter weather. This includes a warm coat, hat, gloves and, when snow starts, boots.
The elementary school principals in District 199 have set the following guidelines in determining whether children will be allowed to go outside for recess: if the outside air temperature is less than 0 degrees Fahrenheit or the wind chill is -10 degrees or below, students will have recess indoors.
Morning Drop Off
Students who are being dropped of in the morning should not arrive at school earlier than 8:10 a.m. as Pine Bend staff are busy preparing for the day and are unable to supervise students. If you are planning to walk your child into school in the morning, we ask that you please park in a parking spot. This eases congestion for those parents dropping off at the curb.
Office Hours at Pine Bend Elementary are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Please remember that ALL visitors must check in at the office and obtain a visitor's pass before proceeding to other areas in the building. If you are dropping something off for your student, please do this through the main office to minimize classroom interruptions. For safety and security reasons, we greatly appreciate your assistance and understanding in these matters.
**Building Security - doors locked until 3:10 p.m.**
To ensure safety, and to minimize disruption to the classrooms at the end of the day, the doors remain locked until 3:10 p.m. If you pick up your child, please wait in the vestibule until the doors are unlocked. We appreciate your cooperation.
If your child is going to be absent or late to school, please contact the office at 651-306-7701 or the health office at 651-306-7703. A parent or guardian must call in any student who will be absent or late for school for any reason each and every time that a student will be absent or late. If the school does not receive a call, the office will contact the student's parent/guardian. Any absences not reported to the office will be unexcused.
Please note that when a student is late coming to school, a parent/guardian must come into the office to check him/her in. Our goal is to have good communication between parents and the school.
Lost and Found
Lost and found articles are placed in the bins located in the cafeteria. Valuables are turned into the office for safekeeping. Each year mittens, sweaters, caps, boots, etc. are turned into the lost and found and never claimed. Please clearly label your child's belongings with his or her full name. Lost articles that are not claimed will be given to charity at the end of the school year.
