Inver Grove Heights Middles School serves students in grades 6-8. Academic achievement is a focus of the Middle School in addition to addressing the intellectual, social and psychological areas of emerging adolescent learners. In addition to the academic program, there are many athletic and non-athletic extracurricular opportunities to engage students at our school.
There are six 59-minutes class periods and one 10-minute advisory period each school day. The school day starts at 7:25 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.
Core courses for every student include mathematics, language arts, science, social studies and reading. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, participate and become involved in their school.
The Middle School experience builds on the foundations started at the elementary level and seeks to prepare students for the program offered at the High School; a stepping stone from the elementary educational setting to the secondary.
