About Pine Bend

Principal RichardsonWelcome from Principal Paul Richardson

Pine Bend is special because of the involvement of our PTSA, community, and fantastic staff. Our goal is to focus on the "whole child" receiving a well-rounded curriculum. Students experience enrichment courses in physical education, music, and STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and Media). Our student council is active in the community developing strong leaders. We are proud of our annual events such as SALT Day (Students and Adults Learning Together) and our Carnival, which bring the community together.

Pine Bend Elementary School first opened to Inver Grove Heights students in 1958. Through the years, it has served as a home for the Inver Grove Heights District Office as well as the National Guard. In 1991, a reborn and enlarged Pine Bend welcomed elementary students once again. We now serve approximately 550 students with a teaching staff and support staff of 50 energetic and dedicated individuals.
