|  | |  | | The Washington Post ranks Simley 15th in the State In the summer of 2011, The Washington Post ranked Simley High School the 15th public high school out of 699 in the state of Minnesota. The Post ranked Simley 959th in the nation.
Rankings were determined by dividing the number of Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) or other college-level tests taken in 2010 by the number of graduating seniors.
The Washington Post's website says, "the rating can reveal the level of a high school’s commitment to preparing average students for college."
