Simley Nominated as Top School by Newsweek Magazine Newsweek magazine has rated Simley as one of "America's Top High Schools" in their May 26, 2008 edition. Ranked by a system that compared the number of Advanced Placement tests taken to the number of graduating seniors, Simley was named a member of the top 5 percent of public schools in the nation. Simley students took 403 Advanced Placement tests last May, and 41.4 percent of the results received a score of three or higher, making them eligible for college credit at all Minnesota State Colleges. On Monday, September 28, 2009, Simley students were recognized for academic excellence in the 2008-2009 school year. To qualify for this award, the student must have a GPA of 3.33 or higher for the 2008-2009 school year. The program is attached.

Military recruiter access to student data Simley High School must release to military recruiting officers the names, addresses and home telephone number of students in grades 11 and 12 within 60 days after the date requested, unless the parents have refused to release this data to military recruiting officers. This form needs to be filled out annually
